Noteworthy in this particular report is the triple-peak behavior of phi Per. This is similar to what was
seen in zeta Tau: Both are binaries, both undergo strong V/R variability, and the triple peak phase is seen only in the transition from R>V to V>R. It would be interesting to collect more instances of such behavior in different stars.
