Talk and Conference Recordings
We are pleased to announce that with the migration of the site to a faster server with more storage space, we are now able to host recordings of talks, conferences, and lectures of interest to the community.
We can as well support you in the final editing of the videos, such as cutting individual contributions, overlaying logos, recoding of formats etc.
Please note the following guidelines
- If the presentation file is available on the net for download (or can be made available here), we recommend a resolution of 480p, with focus on the speaker.
- If the presentation file is not available, we recommend 720p with focus on the presentation screen.
- As video format, we prefer an mp4 container with H.264 compression inside, this is one of the most standard setups these days.
However, these are recommendations only, videos in other formats can as well be made available; either directly or we can re-code them to one of the above formats. We will as well recode 720p to 480p to offer an alternative for lower bandwidth connections, or when to many streams are being downloaded at the same time.
Important: If you want to publish a recording, please make sure you have the permission of the speaker.
