The Working Group on Active B Stars until 2012 was sponsored by Division IV: Stars and Division V: Variable Stars of the International Astronomical Union. These two divisions were merged into Division G at the 28th IAU General Assembly held in Beijing, China.
Bylaws for the IAU Working Group on Active B Stars were updated by the SOC prior to the 28th General Assembly, and published in Vol. 40 of the Newsletter.
